There question arises about the definition of Pakistan Single Window and Weboc system. It is a place on line that is created under Pakistan Single Window Act 2021 to ease doing business across the borders. The Pakistan Single Window is Universal while Weboc is sub set of it.

Scheme of the Pakistan Single Window:

AND WHEREAS it is necessary to establish and operate a single point of submission and receipt of trade data and information to enable synchronized processing of data and information, achieve standardization and harmonization of documents required for regulatory control, adopt integrated risk management techniques, remove legal, regulatory and operational barriers to electronic transactions for external trade, facilitate coordination and partnership among all the relevant trade regulatory agencies and stake holders dealing with the international trade and trade facilitation and for matters connected therewith and ancillary thereto.

Meanings of Pakistan Single Window:

“Pakistan single window ‘means an information and communication technology based facility that allows persons or entities involved in trade a; transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single-entry point to fulfill import, export and transit-related regulatory requirements in Pakistan without being required to submit the same data element more than once

Department of Pakistan that will integrate with Pakistan Single Window:

There are 74 department and agencies of Pakistan that will integrate with Pakistan Single Widow. Some of them are given below

  • Armed forces Head Quarters
  • Aviation Division
  • Commerce Division
  • Chief Inspector Boilers
  • Civil aviation Authority
  • Gawadar Port Authority
  • IPO
  • Karachi Port Trust
  • Export processing Zone Authority
  • Ministry Interiors
  • Ministry of foreign Affairs
  • Narcotics Control Division etc

It will help to boost the international trade and flourish the economy of Pakistan.
